A domed end changes the space inside a sleeve as well as its outer profile. Overall length, straight-section length, and usable internal depth are separate dimensions. Glass Automated Products works from the geometry your lamp and mounting arrangement need, including any clearance near the closed end. Send a section drawing when that end interacts with a lamp tip, support, or seal.
Our core quartz fabrication includes forming domed ends in-house. The starting tube dimensions, material, and required shape inform the process. A rounded end, a specified radius, and a controlled internal profile are different requests; identify what is functional rather than relying on a photograph alone. If you are matching an existing sleeve, include the system model, original part number, and the condition of the sample.
A sleeve may be open at one end and domed at the other, or closed at both ends for a particular assembly. Tell us how the component is installed and what it contains or protects. For unusual closures, stepped transitions, flares, or sealed features, we can review the complete requirement and quote a fabrication or supply route. Operating pressure, temperature, material grade, and acceptance testing are application-specific and must be established for the assembly.

Does overall length include the dome?
Yes, when dimensioned as overall length. Call out any straight-section or internal usable-length requirement separately.
Can both ends be domed?
Yes. Include a drawing and describe how the closed component functions in the assembly.
Is every dome the same radius?
No. The profile depends on tube geometry and the agreed requirement. Specify a critical radius or internal clearance rather than assuming one.
Does doming establish a pressure rating?
No. Pressure suitability belongs to the complete specified assembly, including geometry, material, supports, seals, and the required validation.
Can you reproduce a worn sleeve?
We can review a sample with its equipment information. Damage, deposits, and missing features must be distinguished from the intended geometry.
