Practical answers about specifications, quoting, replacements, and shipping.
Questions before you order
What is the minimum order quantity?
1 piece. We quote individual replacements, prototypes, and repeat-production requirements. Include the quantity you need now and any expected future releases.
How quickly will I receive a quote?
Most specifications are quoted within one business day. Complex geometry or incomplete replacement information may need a technical discussion. Fabrication and shipping timing are confirmed separately with the quote.
Do I need a CAD drawing?
No. A dimensioned sketch, photographs, a part number, or a description of the component's function can start the discussion. We identify what still needs to be defined before fabrication.
Can you work from a sample?
Yes. Contact the shop before shipping it so we can discuss what the sample needs to establish and how to pack it. Tell us whether it is new, used, worn, or damaged; its measured dimensions may differ from the intended specification.
What measurements are useful for a quartz sleeve?
Provide outside diameter, overall length, wall thickness or inside diameter, units, and end finish. Identify critical tolerances, sealing surfaces, mounting details, and any required internal usable length.
Can I use the sleeve builder as a production drawing?
The builder records a starting specification and illustrates the selected geometry. It is not a certified production drawing. Material, tolerances, final geometry, and acceptance requirements are confirmed with the quote.
How do you identify a replacement UV lamp?
Start with the complete lamp marking and photographs of the connector and equipment label. Include the system model and ballast identification. Length and connector appearance alone do not establish interchangeability.
Are all components made in your shop?
Our core quartz cutting, doming, fire-polishing, grinding and finishing, cleaning, inspection, and packaging take place in Huntington Beach. Lamps, electrical components, and specialized requirements may use sourcing or partner supply. We quote the appropriate route for the specified component.
Can I request inspection or material documentation?
Yes. Identify the required records in the inquiry so we can confirm availability and scope before quoting. Documentation requirements vary by component, material, and supply route.
Where do you ship?
Shipping is available to all 50 states, DC, and U.S. territories, as well as Canada, Mexico, and destinations worldwide. Include the destination so shipping arrangements and timing can be reviewed with the quote.
How do I send a drawing?
Use the quote form for PDF, PNG, JPG, DWG, or STEP files, with up to 5 files totaling 25 MB. You can also email sales@glassautomated.com. Contact the shop if your file or sample needs another arrangement.
What should I do if a shipment appears damaged?
Keep the packaging and contact us with the order reference, photographs, and a description of the damage. We will review the specific shipment and determine the next step. Do not install a component that appears damaged.
