Start with the part’s function, drawing revision, material requirement, and mating interfaces. Mark the dimensions that control assembly and identify the inspection criteria that determine acceptance. A prototype drawing may leave room for fabrication feedback; a released production drawing should state which features are fixed. We can discuss cutting, doming, finishing, and sourcing choices before the component enters your bill of materials.
For a sleeve or tube, identify outside diameter, wall, overall length, internal clearance, and the mounting or sealing geometry. For lamps and electrical components, provide the full operating and connection specification, including the matching power supply and controls. An OEM program may include components made in our Huntington Beach shop alongside sourced parts. The quote identifies the agreed part and supply scope without assuming every item follows the same manufacturing route.
Include supplier-qualification questions, sample requirements, required documentation, and packaging instructions with the inquiry. For repeat releases, state expected order quantities and the intended schedule rather than only an annual total. Part labels, kits, and private-label packaging can be discussed as part of the program. Keep any proposed drawing or material change visible for your engineering approval so the accepted component remains traceable to the purchasing requirement.
