Quartz and UV components for ultrapure and semiconductor water

Material grade, cleanliness, optical performance, and documentation belong in the first conversation. We quote quartz and UV components against the requirements of your water system and process.

Separate the component requirement from the process claim.

Ultrapure-water equipment can use UV for different duties, including microbial control and organic-carbon or ozone treatment. Identify the actual duty, lamp designation, and reactor specification. The relevant wavelength and lamp-envelope material cannot be inferred from the words UV lamp. Send the equipment’s approved component list and any optical or material requirements that a replacement must satisfy.

For quartz sleeves and process components, specify the material grade, dimensional drawing, surface requirements, and the areas that contact the process. A general description such as high purity does not establish the required impurity limits or cleanliness acceptance. If your specification names a material, test method, or supplier document, include it. We review those details as a quoted requirement rather than applying a general semiconductor-grade label to every part.

Cleaning, handling, and packaging should be defined together. Tell us whether parts require separate wrapping, protected openings, traceable labels, or documentation tied to a batch. For a new design, identify which tolerances control assembly and which surfaces are optically active. We can discuss fabrication and supply options while your engineering team retains approval of materials, substitutions, and process qualification.

Requirement What to provide
UV duty Microbial control, TOC treatment, ozone treatment, or specified function
Material Exact grade, purity criteria, optical requirements
Surface Finish, wetted areas, cleanliness acceptance
Documentation Drawing revision and required material or inspection records
Packaging Protection, labeling, handling and receiving requirements

Works for

Ultrapure-water UV assemblies, semiconductor water skids, specified quartz process components, development hardware, and controlled replacement-part programs.

Questions before you order

Are all quartz grades suitable for ultrapure water?

No. Specify the grade and acceptance requirements for your process.

Can you quote synthetic fused silica?

Yes. Include the required grade or optical and purity criteria.

Can you support TOC-treatment equipment?

We can quote components against the equipment specification. Include the lamp designation and intended duty.

Do you assume cleanroom certification?

No. Cleaning, documentation, and packaging requirements must be established in the quote.

Can you review an alternative material?

Yes. Identify the original specification and the criteria your engineering team will use to approve an alternative.
