Define what a successful part looks like.
A nominal catalog dimension, a measurement from a worn sample, and a drawing tolerance mean different things. Tell us which information you have and which requirements control acceptance. Identify the drawing number and revision, material grade, units, and the interfaces that determine fit.
For a quartz sleeve, the outside diameter may control the seal while internal clearance controls lamp installation. Overall length and usable internal length can both matter. A flange, shoulder, ground end, or other mounting feature needs its own definition. Clear references help the fabrication and inspection work follow the same intent.
Review the part through the process.
Our Huntington Beach shop carries out cutting, doming, fire-polishing, grinding and finishing, cleaning, drying, inspection, and packaging. The required geometry and surface condition influence the sequence. If a feature needs a particular inspection method or documented result, include that requirement in the inquiry so we can confirm it before quoting.
We do not apply one tolerance or temperature rating to every quartz component. Geometry, material, surface condition, mounting, and operating conditions differ. The quote and accepted drawing establish the requirements for your part. Do not interpret a website illustration or starting configuration as a certified production drawing.
Documentation belongs in the inquiry.
OEM qualification, municipal purchasing, laboratory work, and repeat production can require different records. Tell us whether you need material identification, dimensional results, lot information, labeling, or other documentation. We confirm what can be supplied for the quoted component; documents are not assumed to be included merely because a category is listed on the website.
For sourced lamps, ballasts, sensors, and accessories, provide the original marking and system identification. A similar connector or nominal size is not enough to establish interchangeability. Electrical, optical, mechanical, and operating requirements must agree with the intended equipment.
Protect the accepted part.
Packaging is part of the requirement, especially for long sleeves, thin walls, and finished edges. Let us know about individual wrapping, kit identification, repeat-release labels, or special receiving needs. Shipping timing and destination are reviewed with the quote.
If a received part appears damaged or differs from the agreed specification, keep the packaging and contact us with the order reference, photographs, and a description of the issue. We can then review the particular shipment and determine the next step. Glass Automated Products has fabricated quartz in Huntington Beach since 1998.
