Define the interfaces and the acceptance method.

Begin with what the component must do and how it connects to the rest of the equipment. Identify optical, mechanical, thermal, and process-contact requirements where they apply. A sleeve’s overall length does not define its usable internal space, and a window’s outside dimensions do not establish its optical aperture. Show the controlling interfaces and reference dimensions clearly on the drawing.

Material selection should be tied to stated criteria: a named grade, wavelength-dependent transmission, purity, surface finish, or another measurable requirement. General phrases such as high quality quartz are difficult to verify. We can discuss available fabrication and supply options, tolerance priorities, and end features. If a sample is the starting point, distinguish observed dimensions from the intended design requirement and account for wear or damage.

For a specification package, include inspection methods, documentation, and any permitted alternatives. For an existing UV system, identify approval restrictions before reviewing a different sleeve, lamp, or ballast. Our component review supports your design work; it does not replace system validation or project approval. A prototype can be quoted in a quantity of one, with the accepted revision carried into later production or purchasing documents.
