Low-pressure germicidal lamps are used in many UV treatment assemblies. For a replacement, the useful starting point is the complete lamp marking and the equipment model. Glass Automated Products reviews those identifiers alongside the base, overall length, envelope dimensions, and electrical operating requirements. A lamp that resembles the original is only a candidate until the relevant details have been checked.
Lamp dimensions can be described as overall length, body length, or arc length. They are not interchangeable measurements. Include the reference points used by the equipment maker and show whether a stated length includes the pins or end caps. Base configuration and starting method also need to match the ballast and wiring. If a lamp label is incomplete, a readable photograph of the ballast label and the system service documentation can help establish the requirement.
For an OEM request, identify the intended application, operating environment, switching pattern, and lamp-support arrangement. Tell us whether the assembly requires an ozone-free or ozone-generating source and which quartz sleeve and seals are used around the lamp. We can review related components with the same inquiry.
