Amalgam lamps form a distinct group within low-pressure UV sources. They must be selected around their specified operating conditions and the power supply intended for them. Glass Automated Products quotes amalgam replacement and OEM requirements from the full lamp designation, system information, and available technical documentation. A matching overall length is not a sufficient basis for substituting a different source.

Include the original lamp marking, base and lead configuration, dimensions, required mounting orientation, and ballast or power-supply identification. Where the lamp specification distinguishes a starting sequence or operating range, preserve that information in the inquiry. Some system details may be found on the controller or service documentation rather than the lamp itself. Photographs are useful for recording labels, connectors, and support positions without losing a suffix or revision.

For new equipment, describe the optical requirement, operating environment, duty cycle, lamp cooling or surrounding sleeve arrangement, and any output-control or monitoring requirements. We can review related quartz sleeves, power components, connectors, and retention hardware together.
